long files in SAM

Has anyone had this problem,

My boss recently updated MySQL and since then he can't pull long files into SAM. Not sure if one is related to the other........ The files he is trying to pull in are 3 hours in length, about 80MB - 85MB. This is on our stations main computer for auto, prerecorded shows.. If he "cuts" the file into two chunks he can pull them in and use them..

Hi Ellen,

I'm almost sure its more likely to pull 1 hour sets into SAM

so devide the 3 hours into 3 times 1 hour and add them to your Event Sheduler to get them started

About my own experience with MySql :

SAM 3 works perfect if used with MySql 4.

SAM 4 can be operational with both MySql 4. and MySql 5.

He has SAM 4 , and MySQL 5 now.. It just seems odd that he had no problem pulling these files in before yet does now..... And yes he has been cutting those long files in two to get them in SAM now.. We were just wondering if anyone else had this problem and if there was a way to fix it.. Thank you very much for your reply.

I am using the same setup, SAM 4.5.6 and mySQL 5.

 

It works just fine for me.
