simck123
I have just bought a Samson CO1U USB condenser microphone. I plugged the mic in a spare USB port. Windows recognised the hardware, the green light is showing on the mic, yet I can't pick up any sound in Adobe Audition. The mic channel on Windows mixer is unmuted. My operating system is XP. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Regards, Simon Cook Station Owner www.thisispower.co.uk
Joonas Piiroinen
Just to clarify, have you set the USB-mic's driver as a recording input in Audition's configurations? You can find that from Edit --> Audio Hardware Setup. And then select your USB mics driver as "Audio Driver".

brandon_g
Did you check the volume of the microphone to make shore it's set to right volume.... If that didn't work go in the control panel go to audio settings and make shore the audio source is set to the microphone setting or pink front panel or pink panel 2. good luck Broadcasting Duo is one of the fastest growing and rapidly expanding Broadcasting websites. frankallen
HUmmmm Firstly i'd check your system devices make sure you have no conflicts if theres no issues there i would say make sure you have it selected as a source input in the audition settings cant think of anything else to be honest. JBVoice
That mic is a great mic for it's low price. I have that mic somewhere in my box of old equipment. I recall having some issues getting it set up as well. I believe you must install the drivers off their website, at least I had to. Then the easiest way is to said that as your default microphone source -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. Arfa B
Have you tried it with Windozew sound recorder? You may have to make sure that Audition is looking at the right sound card or whatever! That and the latest drivers for your mic should sort it, hopefully! If I have helped you with a Freebie- please be kind enough to add a link from your own site or blog to mine- thanks! http://arthurburton.net Thank You!
