saint Posted December 12, 2009 Share Posted December 12, 2009 The Senate Judiciary Committee has passed the Free Flow of Information Act, which would set standards for when federal courts can and cannot force reporters to reveal confidential sources. A number of states have such laws, but this bill, which passed in committee 14-5, would be the first journalist shield law at the federal level.
