johny c
More dickheads on Radio , this time in New Zealand. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/6839765/bsa-upholds-radio-stations-uck-you-song-complaint/ I dont even know why the song was in their playlist. The edge is well know for complaints to the BSA. Brutish Sailor
I would love to see the "authority" complain to Lily Allen and her record label about decency in music, and see if that holds water. If her musical works keep food on the plate of her label, obviously people like this style. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
johny c
Thats where there is difference, she can say whats she wants on her cd's and if there is a warning to this it contain such, well the person buying the cd has no right to complain. The point here is this was played on public radio, where people have no choice. Its easy to say well turn the radio off, but by that time its been heard. If the artist's want their music played on public radio (Im not meaning internet radio here) they need to be more aware of what is on the recordings. There used to be radio friendly mix's once, is this not common practice anymore. To me this is a problem with the program director allowing the track on in the first place and a total idiot of a show host playing up on it. I have nothing against artist's saying what they want on cd's, where you have a choice to hear it without offending other people. Dont get me wrong, I do swear and I have cd's with swearing on them, but I dont play them on air and I dont swear on air myself. Aeolus
I'm just very happy that we don't have something like the FCC, where it's against the rules to play certain tracks, or say certain words. Even when people listen to the radio, they have a choice... don't like an uncensored station? go tune into another one. I guess it has a reason why i'm such a Stern fan ;)
