NickolasM.
Nothing to Critique on! Sounds great like any other news. -- Mainly older people like the news, so they like it boring and short, to the point.

jax_rox
My only critique would be that it sounds a bit like you're bored/uninterested in what you have to say. Often, people like to have a little bit of urgency in their news read, also you need to at least sound like you believe what you say and know what you're talking about and are interested in it. LeafpileRadio
It sounds like our NPR News feeds on Leafpile Radio. Good job. Great Quality. Does sound like your a bit bored though. But what radio news anchor isn't. Overall. I give you a 9.9/10 Keep up the great work.
Brutish Sailor
I should have been relaunching this week, but just finishing with some last minute tweeks to embedding AAC+ flash with JW player without the use of WOWZA or a lash media server www.hobbycaster.com/tester/ Once I make the video on how to do this, give a bunch of sc_serv2/sc_trans2 examples, and finish launching my unsigned bands project, This is coming back to life. GKIye
Hi BS, Congrats mate with the result of your audiostream The guitar sound sounds awesome and in general the audio quality has great typical settings of a Rock station www.hobbycaster.com/tester/ I'm happy with the results at 32kbps 44.1kHz stereo Visit and listen @ BW ! Brutish Sailor
Ready for the kicker? This was with no audio processing. The audio headway of that flv. with AACP is just the beginning of pure magic. I really appreciate the feedback. The music is just a demo from a great unsigned (and now dead) band, Heres the second kicker.... the recording was from a 128kbps 44.1 mp3. Pure IC2KH24 magic. I have a feeling the next IC2 trunk is going to blow everyones mind. Im working on finding a v4.6 player.sfw, which is really messing me up. The AAC+ flash stream doesnt seem to want to play too nice with the JW 5.2 flash container, but I am SOOOO close. Jinglemaster
I will be brutally frank as I know you want an honest opinion or two. I don't like it one bit and would not put it on air in a station at all. It lacks any personality or attentuation. Your voice is almost monotonal for large parts of it and it comes across to me as boring. You have not sold this clip to me as a news editor. On the positive side, I like you and know you can do so much better. For radio you have to paint the situation/story with your voice. You need to have a beginning as well as an end, it sounded to me in one listen like I joined the clip midway and it should have a great hook to get me to listen. If I don't -news or not - I may choose another station and then that is one lost listener.
Brutish Sailor
This was 100 percent true. I bought a high end headset and turned it up as loud as I could. I didnt like it, not one bit! All the imperfections was very present that Phillipe, yourself, and many others have talked about, but I could never hear. A whole new respect for VO's began to rise from that moment on. I started upgrading all my equipment to USB with as few connections to the source recording as possible, and I now record only in wav or flac for my voice. I also have switched from phantom power to regular XLR microphones, because some people have setups to run high end mics, and some people (like myself) have only square room, with a glass table that their wife will not let them get rid of (LOL) and need to run mics with less pick up. Now, XLR with +600 impedance seems like my new magic bullet. The real new found respect was for Wildun as well, as he has been doing this News editing bit for a while, and the biggest trouble with this was trying to take a decent sound, and wrapping it into a set time frame. I cant imagine how many times someone has given the VO's a read and said, "Heres a bunch of words, and heres a awful amount of time to cram it into.'' But Im pretty sure its similar to," heres the news for a quarter of the day, lets wrap the highlights into 1 minute" Just a future note for broadcasters (I need to throw this in my blog) If you buy an expensive mic, but it doesn't have high impedance, and you hook it up to your sound card through the 1.5 mm jack, your going to ruin your mic. You can also ruin mixer channels in the same manor. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
