Joonas Piiroinen
Hi guys! In the last few weeks I have been experiencing some bad problems in my Adobe Audition 2.0. I have cleaned my registries and it has worked pretty good now and it works at the present moment too, but I got a surprise few days ago.. When I started to do a production and apply effects, all my effect presets were deleted! There aren't any of the default presets either. So all my custom made and all Adobe made presets are gone from every VST/DX plugin I have. Have any of you experienced anything like this before? If so, would be nice to hear if there is a treatment for this.. If not, then it's time to uninstall this piece of software.. Take care! Joonas E: Just wanted to point you out that my version of AA is legal. (Licensed)
Jinglemaster
Joonas If your friend was having a similar problem, I would be asking him if his was a genuine or pirate copy of audition first. I hope you understand my method of asking. What do you think your friend would answer?
Joonas Piiroinen
What do you think your friend would answer? Yes I understood your point. He would answer that it's genuine no matter what.. But my Adobe Audition is really genuine. Sometimes people ask about it so wanted to point it out.
Jinglemaster
Ok, that is always good. I never doubted your friend for a moment, but you have to start with the obvioius of course. No offence meant. Are you running Windows XP? If so which SP version?

Jinglemaster
No, SP2 is good. I have had problems with Audion 3.0 on SP3, but on SP2 everything works fine. I am not able to help much more then on this Joonas. I would suggest the obvious like the RAM perhaps, but it does seem a little odd. I hope you get it sorted. I will ask some of my colleagues if they have any ideas.

GKIye
Hi Joonas, Still problems ? Didn't you made any backup of your directories of the software ? ... In general if software is deleted and re-installed, including a reboot, the directories (such as plugins etc) gonna stay into your program files. I see 2 possebilities : - or you made a complete delete of your earlier copy - or all directories has been deleted during the un-install For those reasons its always interesting to make a backup copy of your plugins and .dll directory After a new install you copy and paste them to your software and refresh the list into your settings ... All We can do is making a copy of Our .dll directory and send them to your account ... Feel free to PM Me Hope this was usefull ... Update : pls check your account joonas.piiroinen@asa.... I have send a rar file with some plugins Visit and listen @ BW !
Joonas Piiroinen
Thank you very much for your kind help GK! Much appreciated. I really didn't wait these kind of problems so yes I haven't made any backups of the Audition files. Hopefully I'm smarter this time. I'll try to do like you said later when I get to the studio. Thanks again, Joonas

I'm hoping Adobe has fixed any problems they have had. Dennis
