dlt123
Well, I finally got my Adobe Audition 1.5, installed it and thought I would put together a short Imaging spot. It was pretty easy to do in AA, but something is missing in my VO, other than my inadequate voice. To me, it just doesn't sound as clean as others VO's I've heard here. If I may, what is happening with this image spot. Any help is appreciated. This spot only lasts about 14 seconds. What is missing or what do I need to do to make it sound more professional? EQ, Limiting, Compressing, too much noise, etc? Thanks in advance for fielding a newbe question. Dennis
GKIye
Hello Dennis, In fact it ain't bad ! In general it contains what it needed - also as production The only thing "you" have to do is : put some more air into your body before speaking, that way you gonna have the experience that it makes a better flow ... I have the idea that you are speaking not loud enough during the dry take If you have volume = use it (this depends on the type of liner you are willing to make : soft, hard, announce etc etc) Be sure of yourself while making a read ! Attached a small "enhanced" version compaire this into your Adobe to your file Good luck ! Visit and listen @ BW !

I know over time my productions will improve. I checked your version out in AA... I didn't see the actual FX you added, but I did notice that the voice was louder and there was reverb on it as well. Did you add a maximizer on the file and what reverb did you use? Thanks again for your help. Dennis
GKIye
I used a "Normalizer" to adjust the different parts on 1 level ... all regions has to sound lounder and not only your voice Made some EQ work on the first voice section (I presume your voice ?) and added a small "delay" effect who gives the voice a "warm" effect These effects can be found easily into Adobe Compaire both files into your WAVE screen ... Thats all I have done so far Most important is : my first reply concerning the use of your breath while speaking ... if used in the right way, you gonna be able to create more volume aka more soul to the sound of your voice Visit and listen @ BW !
