saint
VLC is probably the best multi-platform media player and encoder there is. They have released a security update and now Ubuntu / Open Suse / Fedora users can update without having to compile the software. http://www.unixmen.com/software/1114-vlc-113-is-released-ppa-for-ubuntu Relaxing Entertainment For The World - - www.ScenicRadio.com

sammy7545
i love vlc has every codec known to man...lol....but lately ive been listening to my stream using "foobar"...because you can get it with the "amip" plugin which is how we announce the songs being played in our chatroom via mirc..but it will also announce music on other things such as yahoo, msn etc. i use to use winamp for this very thing but winamp is in my opinion a resource hog foobar is very simple like vlc. im not sure if they make one for linux but u can google their site...foobar2000
