producerpinnell
Hello! Sorry I've not posted in these forums for a while. I know I come and say that I will, then leave it for a bit, then come back... it's just the nature of my busyness right now, although I think you'll agree, I'm still around ;) As you're probably aware, if you've seen my article promoted on the homepage (Thanks James!), I'm now a writer for BW. I have so much going around in terms of imaging, that I feel I need to share it. Okay, so I don't post regularly at the moment, but hopefully when I do post, you'll find them interesting. All of the articles originate from my very own brand new blog, which you can access by clicking here. If you fancy "following" me on my blog, where I blog about more than just all things radio, and have articles that won't be on BW, then you're more than welcome too. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to write for Broadcasting World, and give something back to everyone in the community. I know I used to make beds and things, and I'm hoping to continue to to do that soon, and I'm also aware that I don't float around the free voice requests part enough, but hopefully soon I'll be able too, I'm just snowed under with work for the hospital radio station right now, recording continuity links, and have recently come back off a holiday from Scotland! I'm also still running Pinnell Productions, and you can download the August Portfolio by visiting http://www.pinnellproductions.co.uk/business and following the links from there. I think the business has progressed loads since 2009, what do you think? So yes, if you want to read my blog, that's a mix of radio, stuff I write for BW and added extras, click here. I hope you enjoy reading my articles I write for BW, and I hope to write some in the next couple of weeks. All the best, Ian
billh
Ian, I was just reading one of your articles “Imaging. It's a picture for the ear.” very good article. I think I will help some people. This statement is very true “It depends on the style of show” You want your production to fit the show. Because the job is to grab people by the ears and say Hey you! listen to this and do it so they get an image of it in their mind and stay tuned to the station/show. "I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . I only do dry reads, if you want FX's you'll have to add them, I might add them. If you use my voice please link to my art site AbstractArtist.xyz, Thank you
