Bringing Entertainment?

Hey everybody,

 

so my question is..how can I work on bringing entertainment to my Traffic Reports, etc.?

 

Any help would be appreciated. As the only thing I can think of would be to emphasize more.

I don't know if this helps or not man, but here I go.....the best thing to do is be yourself alright? I mean whatever comes to mind that you think in your mind is entertaining go for it. If it is relevant to the traffic report and it's entertaining then try it out I mean it can't help but to try anything out once and if it works continue doing the same thing. Does that help??

Yup. I get what your saying. Be myself, while at the same time, being entertaining and relevant to what I'm doing. It takes experimentation. Thanks for your help

End the traffic report on a lighter note; something that will make your listeners smile. This seems to be (forgive the pun) the route most popular traffic reporters use.

I echo what Kris (KHUK) says, and think it's best to end on a lighter note. You wouldn't want to bring entertainment to your report if it's full of bad accidents, which in some cases result in life or death. I think that would be disrespectful to all parties.

 

Of course, you can be yourself when reading the reports, so if your presentation tone is generally chirpy, then thats fine, but don't make any jokes or any quips in the main part of your report, save it for the end for that burst water main down __________ street and ensure the listeners get their surf on ;)

i would watch cnn 24/7 lol just kiddin bring traffic reports as frequent as possible. Also add some soft music in the backround except that you be rock on that report
