GKIye
Yes there is ... if you use SAM You can connect the "hardware" from your pc to a seperated antenna Check this link for details and prices : http://www.pcs-electronics.com/3000-stereo-transmitter-card-p-1664.html How it works : - open SAM > click tab "window" > choose PCI Max Ultra - PCI Max Ultra gonna appeare You can set easily the FM frequence, set on "power" and decide if you need a stereo or mono signal At the link written on top of this you gonna notice that you can choose many types of "transmittors" ... so its up to you what you are looking for I guess it has to be possible (but I'm not sure) to connect the outgoing signal to your "own" transmittor or antenna But thats something you can ask to a friend or member who is more technical than I do Hope this was usefull Enjoy and Good Luck ! Aeolus
too bad you have to use SAM to use this... otherwise it would of been a nice solution.
GKIye
Thats right ... I know its possible with SAM I wonder if any other streaming software has a similar application Maybe somebody of the providers know more about it or a fellow member who's also into FM broadcast (such as Johnny from NZ) Visit and listen @ BW ! johny c
There is no such thing as a software transmitter. If you want to broadcast on the internet you need to stream it ( lots of help has been writen about that). If you want to transmit over the airwaves (to be picked up on a radio receiver), than you need a hardware transmitter, Before you do that you need to check what you are able to use in your country as far as regulations. Every country has different regulations. GKIye
@ Aeolus : I've been thinking ... YEP "it" happens once in a while The tool who is used with SAM to enable an FM broadcast is in fact a "build-in" option ... such as your CD writer etc Secondly the PCI Max Ultra tool is part of the SAM software, and for that reason it recognize the hardware ... Could it be possible to connect the hardware part of the PCI Max Ultra to a normal audio output or pipeline from other types of software ? too bad you have to use SAM to use this... otherwise it would of been a nice solution. Aeolus
GKR, As far as i can see in the manual Sam isn't needed at all. With a card like this you can just install a regular driver, and use it through your pc, or even a line input which is on the card.. so it looks like you don't *need* Sam at all. johny c
The pci max is a hardware transmitter that is built on a pci card. http://www.pcs-electronics.com/pc-transmitters-c-64.html http://www.pcs-electronics.com/3000-stereo-transmitter-card-p-1664.html It comes with different output options, so you need to get the one that is allowed to be used in your country. There is also an option to put it in a case by itself. It has an audio input the same as a sound card on your pc. so you can run a mixer into it or the output from you pc's sound card. You can use any audio playback software you want on your pc. How good they are , I dont know as I have never used one or know of anyone person that has.
