Only thing that kept me with it was the web template WE think weve Found an SQL breakthru with another FREE programme!

We will stop using sam on 1st jan as far as i can see!

The higher SAM gets as version (2 > 3 > 4 and the upcoming 5 version) the harder it is to run it stable

Concerning myself I don't have a problem with it, not with the 3 and not with the 4 version ... however nothing is perfect.

I know a station at the Netherlands who runs SAM2 365 days a Year nonstop

no joke, true it is and they run SAM on an old machine

Sometimes I'm thinking that the older the Windows platform is the better SAM runs :)

  • 5 weeks later...

After SAM messing up Big Time on New years day ive Really had my Fill with it now .....

Clockwheel had over 80 hours of music to choose from with no Repeat within 24 hours Yet after 12 hours all it wanted to do was Play station ID's

Ahhh well back to the Drawing board ..... were gonna use winamp for a while i think or maybes radio DJ but one things for certain Never again will i use SAM!

I had the same issue on Christmas eve. I wanted a steady stream of Christmas music. After about 12 hours, I got the promos playing one after the other. The only way I could fix it was to remove the rules in the config. The only thing with removing the rules is that you never know what the rotation will play like. The last thing I wanted was to hear the same song 10 times in one hour. Thankfully that didn't happen.

First Had dealings with SAM just over 8 years and ran that up until last night. Totally screwed up my New years Rotation!

After Major Failures with SQL and the Program itself ..... im fed up! when you consider bits of it are made up from Old Winamp Plugins!

Just not a Happy Camper anymore i gave it enough chances!

Now Trying radiodj ok despite the song request function its Doing far better than i wouldve given it credit!

Spacial as far as i can see have been Happy to take peoples money with it being a Request lead piece of software and just not bothered on the Features Like FLAC etc....

if we could take Spacial to the Internet version of Trading standards (except there isnt one) We'd win hands down everytime the software Fails far too often!

Jonny Zararadio looks great but i struggle to use it !!!

You might look at Station Playlist too. I've been running it for several years with no issues per se (all software has glitches now and again), but it always rights itself and runs perfectly after a glitch.

I've tried RadioDJ and it is a decent program, and I have a copy of SAM. I prefer Station Playlist at this time. Look into it, but it will cost you some money, just so you know.
