AutoDJ Anyone use it?

I am using AutoDJ and I can't get it to play the songs in the order I want them to play. Anyone use it or know how to get the songs to play in the order you want them to play in?

Not much to go on ... what software are you using for Auto DJ ?

I'm using WHMSonic Shoutcast Admin Pro

Had Major Problems with the Trial version of WHM sonic Wasnt impressed so we didnt pay for it hence why we now host our own servers.

 

Im hoping Karl4 will help u further i guess its his servers your trying to run auto DJ on ..... If it doesnt work out ill sort u a shoutcast server!

It works, I just can't get the songs to play in the order I want them in. I'm thinking thats how it work's because it creates the play list for you. I just wanted to set up my own list, this way I could add drops etc. after so many songs.

Try this and see if it help you,we use WHMSonic ShoutCast Admin Pro autodj to man, this is what we do ,in our File Manager ftp:account where your music are going to store ,we create alot of folder and load our music in dem station id in a next one then music again .

 

example:

 

1.folder A1 ) for music ,u can put 3 - 5 or anyting you want

 

2.folder A ) for station id

 

3.folder B1 ) ,music in this

 

4.folder B ), Station id

 

and you can go on and on

 

when you finish create your folder's go to AutoDJ Managements - Playlist Manager - Manage Playlists: and select default Playlist it will show you in what order will the songs play just to mek sure it stay in the order you want. hope that help you bless

I was just thinking about security while using AutoDJ or having any MP3 files on a site for that matter.

 

To stop people from locating the MP3 files on the site. Should they be below the root/www directory?

The mp3's should be in their own folder, I know someone who has this and their folder is named mp3 actually, it is not within the public folder so not accessible by anyone. Mind you this is on their own server with cPanel and their own WHMSonic plugin. I can't help with the playlist part as I know they use it on random but I know it can work with a playlist of your order.

Well I don't know what it is, but my playlist is all screwed up I made the folders to keep them in order like A, B, C, etc. and they are playing J, H, A, etc. I even set the playlist up in order. But I have to reload it after I save it and thats when it gets all messed up again. The good thing is it gives me a better mix of songs. I had them all in one folder, so I'd get one artist playing like 4 or more times in a row.

 

But everythings cool I got a better mix with the new set up. Good thing I don't do live shows. I wounder how bad I could mess up a live show LOL...
