To FLAC or Not to FLAC??

Recently changed my software now Using RadioDJ as this can use FLAC files.

 

Now the question is apart from better sound quality .... Are there any other Benefits to Re Encoding my music to FLAC?? :confused:

 

Even after 24 years of being a DJ im still getting used to whats what when it comes down to Digital music. Gimme a nice Piece of Viynl anyday!

Gary if your going to covert the mp3s you have now , you wont get any better quality than what they are now.

Yes, converting mp3s to FLAC will not change the quality since some of the quality has already been lost in the compression from raw audio (perhaps from vinyl) into the mp3 file itself.

Because this compression is destructive, converting a 320 kbps or 128 kbps mp3 file will not change the quality at all

After a few days testing FLAC decided against it this is after ripping some fresh Cd tracks cant tell the difference meself cant see what all the Fuss is about! Mp3's all the way with me currently re encoding my collection at 192. May take a while!
