Longest Running Number Ones In The U.S.

Recommended Posts

Alittle more history with the longest running U.S. number ones off of the billboard Hot 100 chart for the 1960s, 1970s 1980s, 1990s and Millenium. Off the Best Sellers Chart for the 1940s and 1950s. Each one is 2 mins or less in countdown format. A special thanks to the folks that provided the countdown material and news bed/stinger.

Go for it...make sure you post it when ur done, would love to compare. I watch those charts as well. Amazing the difference between the two. One thing to be careful of....check the dates each song was number one against what they show for a total number of weeks. I found several "math" errors with the stats for the hot 100. Hard to believe simple subtraction and addition can get screwed up.
