billh Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Hi folks, As you all may know running the station is still new to me. I use AutoDJ becuse it's the easy way for me too do it. Because I don't have the time to set aside for a live show. I did post a request for DJ's to record shows. But I've also been reading up on WHMSonic's AutoDJ and I just want to make sure I understand it. WHMSonic AutoDJ has this info. ##### WHMSonic allows your DJ to stream without stopping AutoDJ, DJ's will use a custom AutoDJ port and custom username+password in order to connect and stream from winamp DSP. When a DJ connects, AutoDJ will leave the stream after 5 seconds and wait, when a DJ job is done, AutoDJ will reconnect to the stream with xFade effect. ##### If I understand this a DJ will need to use winamp's DSP to stream their show and nothing else, right? jamesdean Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Yes you are correct Bill, just follow the guide they (WHMSonic) give, ensuring the alternative port is used and all will be well. The only thing that does not happen is track updates in winamp when the stream is live, the previous track from Auto DJ will remain. Not really a problem though.
