mwagner
Hi everyone, my computer crashed and just about wiped out everything I have....might recover some... I have a Dell Latitude E5400 laptop, and had it for a year, and can't be able to reinstall drivers, Windows 7 etc...any suggestions before I take in to shop? Tx! shoutcaststreaming
Might be better to get a new drive and make it C: and put Windows on it, and then use the crashed drive as D: and recover what you can. lapianoman
I agree on buying a new hard drive. You can also get a USB to SATA/IDE adapter that will plug into your old hard drive. If it is still functional, the adapter will basically make your laptop hard drive into an external drive & let you copy files to your new drive. Good luck! moonpeach
Hiya Was there an error before it crashed or anything dodgy going on before it crashed? What you should try, if it powers up still is turn it on and boot up in safe mode , if you get that far try and do a system restore from a few days ago
