BristolCC Radio
Hello! I'm new here so I'll head over and introduce myself after I post this I currently run a Community College radio station here in Massachusetts for Bristol Community College. I'm looking for a program like SAM Broadcaster (if not SAM) that I can purchase from the United States. The college will not allow me to purchase programs overseas, which is disappointing. Our computer runs Windows 7, and I have a little over 300 dollars for a budget. Any suggestions are definitely appreciated!! Thanks.
GKIye
Hello, Welcome to BW I can advise you to check some of the posts about "automation" You gonna find some fine software packages who are free to use ... also known as open source software Most of them are almost similar or do have similar tools as SAM so time to discover BW at once ... lol ;) example : http://forums.broadcastingworld.net/showthread.php?t=5687 The college will not allow me to purchase programs overseas, which is disappointing about your quote ... If you can download an open source software ... it has no difference if you made the download outside of the US just ... don't tell the teachers ... Visit and listen @ BW ! billh
Why buy one, when there are free ones? Try Zara Radio I'm in Rhode Island right next door lol "I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . BristolCC Radio
Thanks for the input! The reason I'd like to buy one is because money I received through a grant has a time limit on it, and it must be used in about 3 weeks or so. I have played around with open source stuff and whatnot -- I still use Edcast and whatnot on my laptop, but it didn't want to work with W7 :( Hello over there in RI! So if I didn't have money expiring, I would totally go for a free program. :Z:

djgary72
Out of intrest WHY???? does it have to be a US based program i dont really get the Logic behind that as Software is made all over the world these days! As Long as it does what You need it too and has an english (us) Installer i cant see a Problem. My Blog https://djgarybaldy.blogspot.com User of RadioDJ FREE radio playout software since 2010. GKIye
Think twice please SAM Broadcaster is software made by spacialaudio, who is located in the US I've looked at both. Neither are from the United States. Anyway, I don't understand why it "has" to be from the United States (??) Software from other parts of the world are working also A-ok ... and once again ... if you can get it for free ... why you have to pay for it SC-streaming knows what they are telling if they quote the price for a SAM package Visit and listen @ BW ! BristolCC Radio
(All facts I stated in my above posts) Why located in the United States? Because the college will not allow me to send money overseas.. Also, why I must buy it is because, I have a time limit on this money otherwise I lose it.. I have tried to contact SpacialAudio on numerous occasions and nobody is ever around. The money goes to South Africa and Canada. Yet they do have an office located in Texas, but I have not been able to contact anyone from that office. On any extension or option they may offer in the automated service. So thank you, but yes I have thought twice ;) I just came here to ask a simple question, not to be picked apart. Thanks anyways.
