Mongollove
Hi, I need to write some PAL script to letting know our listeners that they can register to get a better streaming quality when they are not logged in. Is the any chance to do this? I have 4 channels such as 96kpx, 128kps, 160kps and 192kps. If the user is not logged in, he is able to listen to the channel 96 and when he is in, he can listen to other high quality channels. I was thinking to run it just on channel 96kps. Please advise. GKIye
I think you are in search for a "written" text who announce it into the display of the listener ... Am I right ? If so ... you can use a copy of a streamripper banscript - Open the script with SAM - insert "artist" - "song" with your details - set time = means : when the script has to run ... example every 4 minutes (longer or shorter) Please find attached a copy of my script change the script where needed Hope this is usefull to you Visit and listen @ BW ! I need to run the voiceover "Please register to get a better quality" when our users are not logged in. So basically - I want to run that voiceover over the Deck A or Deck B through Aux 1, but I need somehow to pass the user's session or whatever into PAL script showing that user is not logged in. BWorld
I do not believe this would be possible because what you are describing would play the VO over all channels, UNLESS you have multiple copies of SAM with one being dedicated to 96k. ██ Stream101 | Affordable Media Solutions ██ Shared cPanel? BWorld
As I stated above, it would NOT be possible to play it only on ONE channel. Im sure someone could create a PAL to do what you are requesting, but it would still play on ALL the channels. ██ Stream101 | Affordable Media Solutions ██ Shared cPanel? qmr
Does your streaming host offer an intro mp3 file option? Then you could add this to your 96k stream and the listener would hear the intro each time they connect.

Being a streaming host, this flew right over me lol! ██ Stream101 | Affordable Media Solutions ██ Shared cPanel? andhow
In my experience...if you complicate the process of connecting the listener to their music. They will usually just "turn the channel" so to speak. There is always someone else out there who has gone the extra mile (and sometimes dollar) to make sure that their station is that much easier to listen to, with no hassles. Allow them (the listener) unfettered, uninterrupted and open access to the music...this is in respect to the listener and assures a return listener, if they like what they hear. Most stream hosts already have safeguards in place to stop 'stream-rippers' as they are a pest as far as they are concerned. So this is not really necessary.
