djgary72
Receieved this mail yesterday at first i thought it was a spam so contacted Support at webradio central. They got back to me and assured me it was Genuine. I have decided to put Web Radio Central up for sale to the highest offer. I am looking for offers around $4,495 USD. Why Am I Selling Web Radio Central? It's nothing major. Simply that I have very little time to further WRC's success these days due to other projects I am involved with. It could do with someone who has the time and enthusiasm to make WRC an even better place for radio amateurs and professionals. What Is Included? - The Lovely WRC Signature Custom-made Website - Domain Name http://www.webradiocentral.com - Complete Database Consisting Of Over 1,000 Stations - Complete PayPal Integration. Allowing station owners to upgrade and renew listings fully automatically. - Unsigned/Indie section - Allows artists to share their tracks fully automatically. What Isn't Included? - The Shoutcast Hosting Section (I will still be maintaining this under a new name for existing clients) although if this is something you'd be interested in, then it can certainly be discussed. - The Server. Website & Domain must be transferred to new owner. Why Should You Choose To Buy It? It's ideal for someone with a passion for internet radio, or perhaps you have your own ideas of what you would use WRC for. ..and look, if you need anything adding or changing prior to handover, simply contact me and we can arrange something! Terms Of The Sale: Seller requires full payment prior to domain and website transfer to buyer. Those who know me know that I am 100% honest and I will make sure to get the website fully up and running for you (free of charge). PayPal accepted. Best regards, AJ CEO Web Radio Central Guess this could be a Goldmine for someone. If only i had the cash ! Arfa B
Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That value is based on the daily hit score alone I would guess. The income from premium subscribers is of course unknown to us, unless you wish to spend quite some time working out how many premium stations are featured on the site. I would suspect the yearly income level, is not great. There are literally bucket loads of similar station lisitng type sites, so this is far from unique. The only possible way to get "good" money is from someone who desperately wants the name. And that works RARELY! Take the UK station Talksport. They didn't own the .com domain, so used .net and later .co.uk I guess they never got the .com domain off whoever owns it. It made no difference to them (or more importantly - the listeners) what the domain suffix was. I doubt many radio related domain names are worth a great deal, perhaps with the exception of the "classic" names desired by all- like rock.? or kiss.? or whatever. Good luck to the guy selling it, he deserves something back for all his hard work in the past- but, times are not good at the mo. Its now listed as a "premium" domain name which is selling for $5000. Ouch. :( Studiio - All-In-One Radio Communication Platform SMS | Phone Calls | Social Media | Content

Ouch. :( But, who on earth would buy it knowing that this well established site already exists and is thriving.... the answer ABSOLUTELY NO-ONE! They should offer it to you for say £100 and cut their losses! I Know a guy in the UK, a radio ham- he wanted a personalised number plate with G8XYZ (the callsign) or whatever it was?, inquired with DVLA (the Uk vehicle registration people) and they wanted £700 or so. He told them he would give them £50 some 10 years back. They point blank refused. Now, they have it up for £300 and he is going to offer them £10 The reason is, there is no-one else who will buy it, as it is of no use to anyone else but him!!! So, the sale and purchase is a stand-off. And this guy WILL win, because he simply isn't too bothered one way or the other! Much the same with domain names in the end. SpazzRadio
Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. He might have a better chance of getting that amount if he included the shoutcast hosting side. Based on the web traffic that site gets (or should i say doesn't get), he would be lucky to get $1k SpazzRadio.com Home of Absolute Rockz, Absolute Spazz, Always HOT Country, and Absolute Hitz
djgary72
I thought that spazz the shoutcast hosting side is worth far more than the site iteself .... Still not to worry im sure sumone will be Gullible to offer him something for it Only listed myself there just to see what was what 54 visitors to my station in about 8/9 months via there. One of the businesses I run involves the buying & selling of domains. .com has & always will be king in the domain world. When people don't know a site off hand, they instinctively will type it in & add .com to it. Having the main extension is a guaranteed traffic stealer for people who are not regulars on the developed name. Now if a buyer was to sit here & develop it, they would have a supreme advantage, especially when SEO kicks in.
