Hi, How dare I? Honey I wasn't being disrespectful to anyone on here. Your right it is FREE requests and I appreciate any attempts made. But, at the same time, remember this is on Google and not everyone is familar with the voice over practice nor do I care. I must have missed the part where it says what not to say when describing your post. Sorry if I am being picky, I do not believe how i was. I looked at some of the other postings before making my ONE. Others described Styles, Moods, "dry or wet" I don't know what the crap that means but hey If someone was willing, i figered it would be helpful to at least tell them my goals. or otherwise I would have paid someone to write the script and record it, but then again that's why this site is free. and just b/c someone cuts it, don't mean we all have to use it. for example, i've never heard a british accent commercial on a rap station. its demos, free samples at least thats what it said. so when i heard YOUR version, i made some changes and thought yah i'd like to hear a males attempt and maybe change the script. That's what I did. NOW no one will probably do it b/c they think i am being rude when I'm not. You sounded like a really young girl in my opinion and you kinda stalled on a few words. BUT HEY I LIKED IT! You have a cute voice. I just would like to hear a male. As I stated in the private email when I thinked you, your still welcome to use me for a reference. And as i stated, i do appreciate your time. Thank you. I've heard a female. I don't know or care rather it's hard sell, easy sell or served with sandwiches as long as it sounds useable. i dont know why these Free sites people get so pissed when someone don't pay or the talents think the requestor owes them something. thats been my impression. if thats the case pull the plug on the free and go charge people and shut this down. That's all. It isn't the same script as before. just dont get offened doll.

I think there's misunderstanding on both ends. Hopefully I can clear things up.

I believe the use of "hard sell" was a form of vocal direction. The requester wanted a sound similar to what you hear in some commercials, like this:

As far as I can tell from the website (http://www.firedogmascot.webs.com/), it looks like they offer a service to recycle equipment used by fire departments. I couldn't find any information as to whether it is a non-profit, 503© organization, but it looks like they are trying to be fairly charitable.

Tammie, please understand that we frequently get people looking for "something for nothing". They just see that they can get free DJ drops, radio imaging, etc. We've had businesses try to get free work done...work they can easily afford, but are too cheap to even offer a token payment.

You wrote, i dont know why these Free sites people get so pissed when someone don't pay or the talents think the requestor owes them something. We do ask people to offer something in return. Some stick around and post here often, sharing their knowledge of broadcasting, imaging, equipment and the like on the forums here. Others offer to link to the voice artist's web page, or to their profile here to show appreciation for the "free" work. These are the people who we will consider doing "free" work for. Anyone who is disrespectful, doesn't bother reading the rules, or just pops in for a freebie (or 2 or 3) & leaves will find that their requests will fall on deaf ears.

Incidentally, I think you're confusing GKInt with Sarah Renee, another poster who did the recording for you. I know for a fact GK doesn't sound like "a really young girl".

about Me:

I'm a man of 1,73m - dark hair - blue eyes and .... small ears

I'm 50 of age

and started my career in 1978 in radio, music and media in general .. as professional and independent

Currently everything I do concerning radio, music and media I'm doing this as a hobby man .. but with the knowledge of a former pro. I kept also many contacts (artists, show hosts etc) of the past in the Today world

Sarah, That was good. With a little more practice you'll do very well. You need to take a deep breath and only read a sentence or two. Even if you space them out. When you edit the file you can remove the silence/spacing and bring the lines together.

From what I can tell Fire Dog helps fire departments. They don't have much info on their site. Other than a little info about shipping fees and they make products from old gear. They do accept donations, but I don't see anything about it being a tax deduction. Which non-profits will post info about, if you make a donation to them. I don't know if they are or aren't, just can't tell from the info they have.

"I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . I only do dry reads, if you want FX's you'll have to add them, I might add them. If you use my voice please link to my art site AbstractArtist.xyz, Thank you

thanks all for your comments. I do not work for fire dog. i was just helping them come up with a way to be apart of our podcast. they told me they thought this whole thing made them look bad so they with drew their interest. I liked sarahs, i just want to say this...what i said was my opinion. i wish my voice was that pretty of course i'm past my prime so I don't see that to happen. lol, take care all.
