First record bought for me was "Seasons In The Sun" by Terry Jacks and the first record i ever bought was "Wild Is The Wind" by David Bowie. Don't have the Terry Jacks record, don't know what happened to it but the Bowie record is still in my collection.

erm......I am ashamed to say my first ever was a single by Mr Bernard Cribbins entitled "Hole in the Ground". I hope I've improved my taste over the years......maybe

You should be a proud man! A FANTASTIC RECORD! AS Was Right Said Fred and Giggling Gertie!

If I have helped you with a Freebie- please be kind enough to add a link from your own site or blog to mine- thanks! http://arthurburton.net

Thank You!

Going back a long ways here. The first album that my brother talked me into giving him my money to buy was "Do you believe in magic" by The Lovin' Spoonful. The first "45" that I saved and bought, believe it or not was, "The Ballad of the Green Berets" by Barry Sadler!

Then in the early 70's, I remember signing up to Columbia House Records, for "11"- 8 tracks for a penny, with the promise of having to purchase 7 more at regular club price! When the 8 track tape players went to the way side, I had over "300" - 8 tracks, that was slowly thrown away! :-( Think I still have a couple laying around somewhere! LOL

It was Little Jimmy Osmond not Donny and it was number One when i was born ..... Could have been worse a week earlier and it would have been Chuck Berry with "My ding a ling"
