galaxymatt
I Couldn't quite understand what it was, the website is bizzar lol. It seems like some sort of streaming platform that the company has developed themselves which requires the listener to install flatcast software to listen. the site mentioned that the streaming platform was based on peer2peer technology so maybe it's some sort of live streaming torrent or something like that. I'd highly recommend a more universal platform like shoutcast, icecast or flash. Matt http://galaxy247.net/files/outreach_4.gif
billh
I was just reviewing different host and found that site. I never tested it or anything. saint
You should try http://www.radionomy.com/en - they are based out of Belgium and pay all licensing fees. They just got a 15 million euro cash infusion from several investment firms. They plan on broaching into the North American market real soon and going head to head with Live365. You pay nothing - however - you must reach certain listener levels at 3 months and 9 months. Requiring certain listener levels maintains quality content - which is a great idea. They offer a lot of services and have partnered with a large Euro stream directory. billh
Saint, I downloaded the software and I'm testing RadioNomy. Started download about 8:15 (8:20)pm my time . Got everything setup in about 15 mins or so. 1: The download is in French. So you better be able to tell what is what at first. 2: I set everything up on my system. 3: It has been "Initializing" trying to connect for over 5 mins so far. I tried too connect about 8:45 now 8:54 and nothing. Why it's taking so long I have no idea. 4: 8:55 connected. Hope it doesn't take that long every time. 5: About 9:04 online streaming. Why and how I'm playing Pop music I don't know. Nothing against Pop, but I'm not a Pop type of music player/guy. Looks like I'll need to add my own Blues from what I can see. They do have some good Jazz from what I looked at real quick. 9:17 still playing with it. Will take time too get use to it. At least for me anyway. "I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . Dingo
I had a look at this and thought it looked good, but not keen on the rules and regs around hitting the streaming hours http://producers.radionomy.com/EN/help/faqs-new-gc.aspx
saint
It is important for Radionomy to maintain quality content to attract listeners and advertisers. Requiring minimum listening hours is a incentive for broadcasters to put their best effort into their station. I know of one broadcaster that has been up and running for 6 months and is already pulling 300+ daily listening hours. Anyone can spin records or cd's, but not every one can create a quality Radio Station. The keys to success are: Niche Content, Quality Content and Promoting The Content. Quality wins hands down every time, Creme De La Cream. Relaxing Entertainment For The World - - www.ScenicRadio.com
billh
Dingo, You can select any of the songs they offer and they pay all the licensing fees. The only part you will or may have trouble with is, when you upload your own songs. Also, I don't know what is going on, but I'm having trouble with the site or it's something with the software. Might revisit when my webcaster licence is due up.
