end user
I was testing out Mixxx which I'll be using with hercules dj control rmx which I'll be getting and noticed I can stream live to Ice/Shout servers. Just tested it out with my Icecast server and worked like a hot damn on LinuxMint 11 Gnome. What's nice is it passes over the meta data for tracks Only thing that was an issues was the Login Info for Icecast which needs to be set to Login:source and password to the password you choose. http://www.mixxx.org
end user
I just been trying the Auto DJ feature and so far its working. Picked up a Hercules DJ console RMX and after installing the Hercules drivers have it mapped to MIXXX. Don't know if its working 100% as this is the first time I'm using any decs/mixers but will be testing it out this weeks end. Got to learn beat matching now ;P

Weird on Linux Mint 11 its working pretty good for me. The only time it becomes unstable is when I try to configure the headphones for my Hercules RMX then it goes downhill but so far as an automation/playlist list player seem pretty good. end user
Ok so I did more testing. I had a Dell XPS 8000 i7/ATI Radeon 5700 desktop that was collecting dust for the last 6 months since I mostly use notebooks. I loaded it up with Linux Mint 11 (Gnone). After installing MIXXX and the Hercules drivers, MIXX and Herc RMX communicated perfectly so seems my Toshiba notebook hardware sucked and was having conflicts with the Hercules built in soundcard.
