AutoDJ system that has automatic requests?

Recommended Posts

What AutoDJ program can I run on my CentOS server to provide an AutoDJ that can automatically take requests from the listeners?

I run a small Web Hosting business. I'm adding Shoutcast/Icecast hosting at the request of one of my clients. I've looked at both WHMsonic and Centova Cast, but neither has an AutoDJ that can play requests automatically (AFAICT anyway). I've seen services like CloudDJ, but I'm not really looking for an AutoDJ host - I'm looking for the software to do it myself.

There is not one that is just available for purchase. I think wavestreaming is the first. You may have to build it yourself or hire someone.

Yes our Cloud DJ system has a request widget that you can embed onto your website:

Unfortunately, as its bespoke software that requires custom setup - which we've developed to run on our own systems - we probably won't be releasing it any time soon as a centova style self hosted script.

i dont know if u can run sam broadcaster from a server but i know it has a built in request system within it.....i use to use it when i was streaming had the request page on our website.....but theres a snag in that whole "request" thing now....according to the webcasting rules.....requests cannot be played within a 60 minute period...dont know how many people are willing to wait an hour to hear their song come up...back then people use to complain when they didnt hear it next.

the requirement to delay requests an hour is not new, may be to you but not most US broadcasters and yes people will wait for their requests, we serve up 50-100 requests a day.
