andreas
Hey guys, this is my first post, happy to be here among experts! I want to develop a service where multiple broadcasters, without any special equipment or software but a microphone, can live stream from the website and the audiostream should be available live to multiple listeners on this website. I have been browsing the internet for hours trying to find a solution so I can embedd a live stream audio broadcast player on my website. Does this exist? Or do I need to hire a programmer to custom build this? First stage I need to find the simplest and cheapest solution to test run the site. Further development of the site and possibly new technical solutions will be made as the the number of users grows. thanks in advance for your help! Mad Dog Radio Live
Give us a little more information so we can help you a little bit better. Do you have a SHOUTcast server? Or do you broadcast from video streaming websites like Justin.TV, Stickam, etc.?

Brutish Sailor
not neccisarily. You can do one thing, but your going to have to man it at the station...... You can VOIP/SIP to mixer. For the crappiest way to do it? Set up a mixer in Brutal remote fashion (I have a tutorial on it) then put a number on skype. From there, people can call that number to connect, and have the audio from the mixer routed to the line in, and have the speakers for that computer route to the mixers channel. You would need to use a mixer with an onboard soundcard to effectively do real time audio processing, or your going to delay/reverb to hell and back. from there, you can conference call up to 200 simultaneously. Brutish Sailor
Again, this does sound like so many services that are allready out there. Teamspeak, Skype conference call. Im not catching the hook. You can do something with SIP though, I've been playing with it. It can be flash rendered to make and recive calls. Provided the sip server is set up, and a number is purchased. I dont know how many sources can sit on the same SIP server. Never got that far into it. Im pretty sure Veetle is using the same proc for the flash rendered VLC player they have. Dataman-19
A multicast web site is needed. And you would have to imbed IP Cast software into the website. Then you would need the "remote cast" module to support the "Remote Client" software that will be needed at the location where the person using the mic will be. .. The upside: a) Very much doable. b) Can be as simple as logging in, and speaking into te microphone. c) can be configured so that all connections are secure (Using HTTPS;). The downside: a) Anyone can access and speak their minds (can be very problematic). b) How would you control "content" - content is crucial and the wrong content can not only be devastating to popularity and listener base growth. Improper content can have "Financial" and "legal" repercussins as well. ... Still, "It" is a noble task that you are looking to undertake. .. I want to wish you the best.
