Hi good radio people...

Just joined and wanted to say Hi! Having always had an interest in radio along with a love for music, I recently became a volunteer at my local community station which has been awarded a full time license but are currently only broadcasting over the net.

Since joining I have been doing some research in preparation and become well and truly bitten by the bug! I have played with some automation software (RadioDJ, Zara etc etc) and also put together a playlist which I streamed as a test. My plan is to put together a show to present to the bosses to demonstrate what I can contribute to the station - hoping to become a valued member once we start broadcasting on FM early next year.

As I'm completely green, all tips and advice gratefully received. I will be needing some idents for the show I'm creating, so I'm hoping some kind soul will be able to help me here..

Well that's me, I look forward to contributing as and when I can. Thanks for reading...
