Sourceforge SC Control panels.

I noticed while browsing Sourceforge looking for a half decent shoutcast control panel that most of the projects on there seem to have been abandoned. Have the developers of such projects been paid off by the likes of Centova and WHM?

I cannot see any other reson for projects being half finished and abandoned.

I was looking for something that does autoDJ with a shoutcast control panel without the hefty pricetag anyone know of a project that hasn't been abandoned that could help me.

Well it would be great to see one written that works without having to mess about trying to get it where the servers actually work. SMI is ok but it has it's limitations.

Funny someone should mention SMI. I use a custom modified version of it myself. I added sc_trans support, fixed a couple minor bugs and removed all the php short tags to make it more portable. I haven't spent much time on it lately due to other obligations, but I plan on eventually making it available for download. Just not until I've included a playlist builder and Shoutcast v2 support.

You've got another PM RDJ.

The zip file contains the database file for you to import (via phpmyadmin for example), SMI.tgz which you should unpack on your server and a readme file with a few instructions. Don't forget to go to the Settings section and change the server information there before tying to create any shoutcast servers though.

Oh. And a short list of changes I have made to SMI:

1. Added direct sc_trans support. When you create a server, an option appears to the right of it on the Home page to add a transcoder to it. Options for sc_trans can be edited just as you edit the shoutcast server. You can also create the calendar events by clicking on the calendar icon in the Transcoders section of the Server list (Home).

2. I began making language files for localization purposes. I can't remember how far I got with them though right now. If you look in the header.php file, you'll find include('language/english.php'); on line 28. Directly bellow that is the same for german.php. As you can probably tell, those files are located in SMI/language. So, if you find some typos you would like to correct, you may want to check the language file.

3. Added a clear logs button in the Event Log section. I got tired of going into phpmyadmin to clear the logs all the time. ;)

Honestly, I'm sure there may have been other changes but, it's been so long ago I can't think of what else I did. lol

Anyway...let me know how it works out for you.
