The internet radio network i work for does sporting events and we have a sideline reporter for the football. We need a way to patch him through at certain times while we are in the press box so we can put him on the air while he is on the sideline. anyone know how i could do that?

The way we broadcast is we have two headsets running into a laptop going through Google talk to the studio.

Yes we are doing that with Two Walkie Talkies and a headset. We use a patch cord from the walkie talkie in the press box. Just make sure you are on a clear channel or you will get stepped on by truckers or cb's. We are using the cheap ones you can buy at best buy . We are using Plantronic Headsets but you need a headset like the ones for a cell phone at the walkie talkie on the side line. You lock the microphone on the sideline and then plug it in to the second splitter jack that we have. If you go to our site you see an example. click on live events and select Alabama then select Murphy high school. It works great.

Amazon is your friend. You need good walkie talkies with headsets. Look at the ones that Best Buy uses for their employees. Then you need patch cords that have splitter jacks so you can have multiple inputs for your computer. You can also do it with two cell phones with the same setup. You just have to have a good signal in the stadium or gym. Some locations will not work with cell phones, or if there is a lot of people there you can't get a line out.
