JamboUK
Hi All Since I have got into Internet Radio I have found that DJs tend to use different names when broadcasting on stations, things like DJ Blitz or something similar which personally I find quite strange. I can understand using a name like that if you are broadcasting on a pirate station as you do not want the authorities to find out who you actually are but if not I really cant see the point in it. All of the commercial radio jocks, in the main, use their real names like Chris Moyles, Nick Grimshaw and the like. When I do a show on London Taxi Radio I use the name SuperCabby, this is because my Twitter username and my blog for the London taxi Trade are in the name SuperCabby and the name goes back a few years and was given to me by my daughter and has sort of stuck, but I think if doing a show for another station I would probably use my real name Jamie Owens. Just wondering what names you all use and why you use them?

stevo87
Hahaha I know a few radio presenters that use a false name on proper commercial radio as they don't like the sound of their own name. http://www.immenseradio.com - Non Stop Dance http://www.immenselive.com - Just Great Music and the home of two top 10 @ 10's a day! http://www.stationguru.com - The ultimate radio resource website

Besides Lisa is just boring LOL. http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/1069/vrnlogopng.png www.verbradio.com

mdbutler79
I would also say to anyone who is looking for a name, an old jock told me this yrs ago, some may know this, but i still find it interesting, he said old jox used to have fun ways of coming up with an air name by something like this. You take your middle name or your pets name, or where your from and combined it. for example: I am from "thomasville" and my middle name is "Dean" so DEAN THOMAS sounds purdy good. something like that. just a fun idea that might work for some! have fun those in wonder.
