djgary72
Ok as the title suggests what's the worst thing that could happen as a DJ? Having equpiment/records stolen ..... Yep that's pretty bad Having things go wrong during a show ...... Yep that's happened to us at some point. The worst thing that could happen to a DJ has to be Long term mental health problems and depression .... I know as it's happening to me again right now. It just seems to take all my will power just to think about getting out bed in the morning (That's if i managed to get to sleep) I just feel totally drained and getting to a point where even doing a hobby such as Internet radio is becoming to hard to even think about Used to enjoy it but now .....I'm een thinking of getting out of the internet radio spectrum altogether. The constant battle with certain people on here hasn't helped matters! i am Human and i'm Entitled to an opionion! Think before you reply you never know how the other person may be feeling! I'm 40 later this month and have some hard choices to make ..... My well being must come first!! My Blog https://djgarybaldy.blogspot.com User of RadioDJ FREE radio playout software since 2010. frankallen
I suffered the same troubles a year or so ago just got totally hacked off with internet web radio and casting and just jacked it all in, but there will come a time when even you regain the interest and start up all over again, prehaps its sometimes good to take a back seat and ask a third party to keep tabs on your project so it keeps up its presents and doesn't windle away to nothing. http://i.imgur.com/qrEUBH7.png Check us out http://www.itsjustradio.org
Lmarrie
Sometimes you just need to walk away so you can see things more clearly. Take few steps back, a few deep breaths and look at your life, your station from a different angle. If it is something you may want to go back to and you alreay have a following as already suggested maybe you can let someone else keep things going until you decide. No matter what your health and well being comes before anything else. Now as for the "battles" with people on here...that's unnecessary stress. It's the internet, it's not that serious... anyone here can be gone with the click of a mouse. Hope you feel better soon! http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/1069/vrnlogopng.png www.verbradio.com

djgary72
After last nights Disaster that was my NYE show Got 2 listeners all night despite using twitter and facebook to promote it .... I have now decided to take a break from internet radio. How long before i decide to start up again who knows .... Just seems all the Fun has gone out of it these days. Not the easiest decision I've made but i really now need to focus on other things like the state of my mental health etc .... JamboUK
Gary I am really sorry to hear that mate, if you fancy doing the odd show and broadcasting to a load of Taxi drivers then just give me a shout mate and we will accommodate you rather than having the hassle of running your own station, they say a rest is as good as a change.
