Mac OS X source client for multiple simultaneous streams to IceCast

I have a need to stream from an OS X remote laptop to an IceCast server. Formerly I've worked with Windows machines and just used Edcast. However, it's proved harder than I expected to find a source client for Mac that can do some of the simple (or supposedly simple) things that Edcast has been doing for me.

I need a source client that can stream to IceCast 2 as well as stream MP3 and Ogg Vorbis simultaneously. I tried NiceCast but it doesn't stream Ogg Vorbis. I am trying BUTT, however I'm finding it hard to select audio sources to mix between a mic and local sounds files (for advertisements, bumper music, pre-recorded interviews, etc). Actually, in my Windows machines I just pump audio from line out, back into line in and then all mic and audio files, etc. get sent to Edcast. Simple and jacky.

Any insights into good software to stream audio to IceCast2 from a Mac?

There isn't a great deal od software written for the MAC for streaming purposes You have already mentioned the two i know of.

Only other thing i could suggest is running a Virtual box on the MAC which will require windoze!

Yes, I've thought about virtualizing a Windows instance. It's just that audio isn't usually handled well between guest and host. The best experience I've had with virtualized instances of Windows and audio betwixt host and guest is Parallels.

Currently I'm looking at doing two instances of BUTT (one for MP3 and one for Vorbis, as it appears you can't do simultaneous streaming of two different encoders with on instance of BUTT) and using some kind of virtual audio cable tool like Sound Flower. It's going to be ugly, no matter what. Perhaps it's time I dug into Xcode.
