djultra89
Hi there I read somewhere that you dont need a licence if you broadcast on low power lpfm or whatever I dont know if this is true. But my question is we're would we get a cheap fm licence for our station so that ofcom dont hunt us down with the law and shut us down? Now I know there are alot of pirate radio stations out there without a licence. But we would prefer to stay on air rather than getting shut down? Mad Dog Radio Live
It all depends as to where you are located. It varies from country to country. Visit the FCC website and check out the rules and regulations page. http://www.fcc.gov/
Marvin
In the U.S. low power FM stations do have to pay royalties but typically it is a relatively small amount. (I helped friends put four low-power FM's on the air during the last filing window.)
