MADcHATTER
With a combination of the right hardware/software you can do alot. I use Adobe Audition and CoolEdit Pro. I also use Acoustica MixCraft 3 to make my own music and beds. Helps cut down on having to rip copywrited music and its way easier than Audition. Literally drag and drop. BeatCraft is another good one from Acoustica. Their ability to make sessions or projects that can be kept for future use, or mixed down to almost any format makes them indespensable. Of course none of these do any good unless you have a good soundcard. I recommend a HighDef soundcard, the cost of which have gone down alot or are even integrated into some systems. Some people opt for audio interfaces over standard soundcards or in conjunction with them. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. Seperate controls on mixers and interface units make it easier to mix on the fly or filter out additional noise while the software can allow you to manipulate the sounds easier. All in all it takes time and experimentation to find whats right for you. What your familiar with or can learn on. And, as always, it takes patience! xtra musica
I´m happy to see I´m not the only one who sticks to Acoustica....You always hear Cool Edit and adobe audition (who are really good software - and I use them also) but to produce my cuts I always get back to my good old Mixcraft.
