Charlie
Hey, folks, I seemed to have blown a tweeter on one of my PBM-8's, so I pulled it and checked the resistance. Should be 6 ohms; I expected it to read open. But no; it read 1.9 ohms. And, it turns out that it's functioning, albeit weakly. What on earth? Does this mean I've got a short 1/3 of the way along the coil? Seems as though that would be kind of rare. And, obviously, the tweeters gotta be replaced, right? Can anybody tell me the best place to order a replacement? I called Tannoy; what an annoyance. Put me through to somebody who didn't answer, and a week later hasn't bothered to return my call. Thanks, Charlie
