axisdj
I am using another broadcast system and I have been asking them to put in a feature that will dip the music slightly when any station imaging is played they said they can't add this feature I see you have a tag for sweeper start will the music dip if a sweeper is played It does not dip per say, but it does do an auto gain on the mix, where both should be audible. I would try it and see what result you get. Let me know what you think. I use it with my sweeps on www.saDanceRadio.com and it works fine, but this may be attributed to the way my sweeps are produced... Brutish Sailor
I'll give it a shot on Ubuntu /w wine later A BIG suggestion. There's a program for Debian Linux called POL. (Play on Linux). If your wine user loaded optimal settings for install. It automatically loads WINE settings preset to optimize your programs installation If you tried it, and tweaked in wine, and then listed it in the POL directory's, it would probably get a lot of attention, as the only decent rival of IDJC. Not that IDJC isnt cool (fairchild, the developer, is a genius), but everyone that's used IDJC usually hates having to play with JackD (visual version of Jack audio server, required for IDJC) and the Use of 3 Band Equalizer (Jammin) sometimes isnt worth the processor hogging and headache of routing (usually a lot of hair pulling, and trial and error in JackD, just to lose settings) ESPECIALLY for non 64 bit users that don't get the Jack2.0 audio server default installations. Just food for thought. But in the words of a younger generation... "respekt" Its a very sound program, and I haven't found a bug yet. Very thought out. I didn't try to break it with pushing settings, but I liked everything I saw, very low resource, and very strait to the point. Oh, and it worked on launch. Half the battle. The only thing your really missing is a payment plan. Like $20 a month for 5 months or something. $100 is a hefty bill (though reasonable) to spot on the dot, especially for "hobbycasters" like myself. Spouses never see it as $100, they see it as the total cost of our hobby over the year, including mixers, mics, ect. To try to convince a spouse $100 flat is a must, when were already paying for server use, licensing fees, and automation/backup software (I use S!RA).... that's a trick in itself. voodoohippie
I have a wonderful wife who supports my hobby and she and my daughter in law bought me a Windows 8 Laptop coming soon delivered around the 22nd of this month. I told her I'd need at least 1TB or 700GB HDD, 8GB Ram and of course $300 for SAM. I didn't like the fact that it cost $300 and was told by a friend to try NextKast. I am a Progressive Rock (Album Rock), Classic Rock station and one of the things I noticed out of the box was that this software meets Album Rock standards for processing and its out of the box when you install it. SAM has poor audio out of the box and one has to buy either Stereo Tool or Breakaway Broadcast and set it to the Amsterdam setting to meet the Audiophile standard of most savvy Progressive Rockers. I was shocked to listen and now I can save the $200 extra dollars for SAM and the $100 for Stereo Tool or Breakaway for my Windows 8 Laptop. I am now a Beta Tester for NextKast and for my Album Rock station I would not run anything else on Windows 8 and even on my Windows 7 desktop I've been using this software. This is an audiophiles dream. Listen to my station when I'm Live and hear for yourself http://thelegacyradio.tk iTunes Press Radio>Classic Rock>Type L and look for The Legacy. More people need to try this program. Progressive Rock(Album Rock Deep Tracks),Classic Rock http://thelegacy.shorturl.com
Brutish Sailor
Hey bro, if you want me to fix your custom content page up a little (the flash player page), I can do that. Free. Also I like your page, but would put the listen link in a tag on that big flashy animation thing on your start page to link it to your custom content page (the flash player page) as thats the first impulse to click. When I first loaded the page, all I saw was the "chat" button, and ot took me a good 15-20 seconds, before my brain went into ,"hey, scroll down" mode. Stream sounds good! voodoohippie
I'm using wix as my FREE web host. I also have one with 000webhost which does allow html. If you know how to do it with Wix I 'd love to make my site better. We could make it look better as well. I should put the listen link on top. I'll try and change those two links around. Glad you love the stream. Progressive Rock(Album Rock Deep Tracks),Classic Rock http://thelegacy.shorturl.com
Brutish Sailor
The stream licensing page should be customizable if I remember right. I can add some script real quick so it actually makes your wik's page drop down. Then for the blank area, I can make that text scipt pop up in between. should be pretty quick. voodoohippie
You can make a page of your own on StreamLicensing but you'd have to use another flash player like one from Listen2myradio or something that is FREE. I've tried that with a .htm file. Pretty easy if you want to try that. you can Email me voodoohippie_radio@yahoo.com or call my Rockline listed on my site. This way we would have a nicer look for The Legacy. Heck of your were really sneakey you could even make the entire home page and flash player page on StreamLicensing and not even have to deal with Wix and then re route the .tk link I've just thought of that too. Brutish Sailor
I got to head to the car dealership, but try this: All you got to do is take that code from the flash player, then below it, add the script: Play around with the height a little. Tech, I think we need to make you a links page, but thats not a BW public convo Yeah, after I get back tonight, I will drop a dime to the rockline. I think its realistic to build this entirely out oh HTML, and then we can host the images on my sites back end and them onto the page.
