fluvius
I'll check it out this week. I really wish one of the automations had a clockwheel system similar to Tabassco's amazing clockwheel. Its old win95 abandon warez, but still one of my live broadcast favorites for local scheduling. http://riograndemud.com/clockwheel/clockwheel.htm Thanks for this suggestion We're currently thinking about how we will implement automation. We will probably make it very visual, based on format clockwheels, and a "calendar"-like view to schedule the formats. We're also thinking of the possibility to produce a complete show beforehand, including voice tracks etc., save it, and schedule it for broadcast at a later time, all integrated into the software. fluvius
For those interested: the software is coming together very nicely. The automation is fully implemented with the calender, clockwheels, filters, etc. We will release a new beta version soon, and chances are that this is the last beta version of the software. If you would like to test yourself: contact us via our website (http://www.fluviusmedia.com). We will also try to get up new screenshots of the release online, but since making the beta build is quite a job we cannot make promises right now. Enjoy the new release! DJFreaky
The program looks very promising and hey mate you from Morganton! :D Always nice to have a fellow radio broadcaster near myself. I'll add myself to the list of closebys.... Spruce Pine here, between Asheville and Boone. voodoohippie
Can your software be used in conjunction with an existing Icecast V2 server or with LiveWebDJ? I'd love to see a piece of software that works good for Album Rock stations. I have a ton of music that would not repeat for 30 days (Unless requested). I'd like to be able to set a strict No Repeat track for x number of days (unless requested). Sounds like you have a good audio processor. I have been beta testing NextKast and the thing I love about it is that it has nice sound out of the box and can be used with a USB mic. I have little issues there but wish I could program it to not repeat the same track for X days. SAM is pretty close but their audio processor out of the box is horrid at best and I would have to purchase Breakaway Broadcast and set it to the Amsterdam setting to get an Album Rock audiophile sound. When you have low income $300 for software plus buying an audio processor is not an option (though I wish I could do it that way). DJFreaky
Joined today, within minutes had my confirmation, downloaded the latest version and was up and running with a live broadcast in under 5 minutes. The interface will take a bit of getting used to, but thus far it's very straightforward, clean, and imminently usable. Sound is GREAT by the way. Very impressed with the polish of a beta product. Will dig more deeply and see if I can break something. (And if it can be broken, I'm the one who can do it.) The beta version does already, but it is not licensed for commercial use and will stop functioning when our beta tests are complete. We are still working on the no-repeat functionality. The next release will allow you to set maximum and minimum repeat times (in hours, days, months, whatever you want) for folders of tracks, specific groups of tracks, or specifically for each track, as well as repeat times for artists etc. Our software contains a 5-band multiband compressor and AGC that was developed in-house, both for the microphones and for the master. In our current beta the master multiband is completely customizable (presets will be added in the future). The quality of the processing is already very good, but we plan to enhance it further in the future, to rival e.g. the Orban Optimod. voodoohippie
I may be interested. I would need presets that would mimic an Album Rock station of the 70s. Its where Breakaway Broadcast was nice I'd defeat all the AGC stuff in SAM and tun that. I'm not too good at trying from scratch to set those. I do know what sound I want to hear as I use to own separate power amp and pre amp systems and in the 70s I was an audiophile. That being said I'd want tp be able to encode to a shoutcast V1 type system which LiveWebDJ uses. If your system supports Icecast V2 I could use this for my Djc Midea server. Any idea on the cost of this product? is it less expensive than SAM or more expensive. If the same or more is your payment plan where someone could pay $50/mo till its paid for? Your system sounds interesting to me as audiophile quality is very important and your No repeat settings comming soon will surly tempt me. fluvius
Does any one have any thoughts of pros and cons of a browser based virtual studio? The one I have been using is so easy and I like being able to take Skype calls. I guess pros are that it works on all platforms and that you can use it anywhere without installing anything. It also is easy to program to continue to run when you close your browser window or shut down your computer. Cons are that it can never have the performance of a desktop application (so you won't be able to get high quality audio processing), cannot interface with ASIO (so you'll never get low latency audio), and you'll have to upload your entire music collection (which can take a long time). Those are some reasons why we chose to develop a desktop application. Interested in beta testing Fluvius Radio Pro, our new innovative broadcasting software? voodoohippie
And as far as I know you can announce directly after so many songs are played. You would have to Voice Track the whole thing. And you can't have say 2TB's of music and program your station never to repeat the same song for 60 days (that's right 60) unless requested. I do love LiveWebDj for a Back up broadcasting system basically to keep the station running when Time Warner Cable plays the lets slow down your speed game. I have about 15 GB's of music uploaded to LWDJ but I can't make it not repeat for 30 days and often you'd hear the same song twice in one day. its known as Repeat Frogging in the days when I done over the air Radio.
