I'm Back!

Hey all,

I try to pop in from time to time to view the site, talk to new members and read over the latest in broadcasting. I hope to build a small studio in my office here soon, but trying to get my business off the ground first :retard:. I'm honestly considering getting a simple setup this time around. As my old set up I sold for less than half what I invested in order to pursue starting my IT firm...

Since I've been out of the loop for a while. For those of you who have simple studios, whats the latest and greatest? :D

Hi JB

I would say welcome back, however I have been also not that active during 2013

I hope to finaly restart soon my normal contributions to BW after the dead of my Dad (June 28th - 2013)

I guess You know the saying "KISS" ... "Keep It Stupid Simple"

Well thats also my idea

If You only need gear to record voice, to edit it, to make a mixdown of content (voice + scores / fx elements) ... than choose Adobe Audition (AA)

Install Izotope (4 or 5 = they are almost the same) and you are ready to make from any file a file with the best results

By refreshing the plugin list at AA, Izotope gonna appear into the list of tools at AA

At my profile at MF You can download some plugins for AA

It makes it possible to convert to flac and other file types with AA

Enjoy !

Thank you all for the welcome! I can't believe I've been out of the VO scene for this long...man how time flies! I'm going to slowly build a studio and will contribute here where I can. Still going to be really busy, but I'm going to pop in from time to time and check up with everyone.

Honestly, the reason I got the urge to check back in is because one of my clients asked me to help him build a broadcast studio...brought back so many memories :D
