It's more of a multipurpose mic cause its a cardiod mic with a contoured frequency responce making it ideal for studio or live performances. Amped or acoustic. I havent checked the pricing on one in awhile but the last one I had I bought used off another bass player for $25. Check eBay and Amazon. They usually have good used ones.
