What's your favourite AAC+ bitrate to stream on your internet radio stream?

I run 64kbps too - I sense most of my listeners are in the office. A 64kbps AAC stream is gentle on bandwidth (less likely to rebuffer) and "good enough" for most PC speakers, especially in a noisy environment.

I think there's a point (probably higher than 64kbps though) where you run out of advantage with AAC+

Perhaps around the 96kbps mark, higher bitrates probably don't add much more. Not an expert in that arena though :)

AAC+?

I run 48. I find for some reason if I take it to 64K, the silence isnt as silent. Im not really an audio engineer, so its hard to describe, but its like I dont hear true silence, especially on quick VU transitions.

Im actually debating getting an AAC+ orban setup.

Heard their audio through the opti-codec to their designed flash player, and was pretty impressed. Their 32kbps AAC+ stream OBLITERATED my 48kbps quality.

I don't really listen to AAC streams much. At home or at work, I preferr higher bandwidth. I don't even tune into my own stations 64 AAC+ stream much. The only time I tune in to my AAC, is if I am listening thru AudioRealm It's just there to give people an option. A lot of people like it, but I prefer other, Since i am surreounded by bandwidth that doens't limit my options.

With an external player, I prefer WMP, since it has great output. Either that ur listen to a station thru TuneIn.

I could almost agree with you word-for-word. Nice post.
