I have an existing audio and video multimedia file.

 

I want to replace the video portion of the multimedia file with a still graphic image.

 

What is the easiest method for doing this.

Edit the file with VEGAS ... thats piece of cake

- delete video track

- insert image (crop and pan if needed)

- leave audio track

... and convert

 

If not possible to edit this ... send Me a PM and a link to the zip file who contains the video and image (image = HD resolution)

Windows has a media editor for free, that can do this.

 

I use it for "my homemade sweeps".

All this is: Same image with effects stacked at certain parts.

AVS Editor is quite nice and you can get a trial version for free. Sony Vegas is obviously a better choice though. Actually, you can type "video editor" here and choose some free tool, I think most of them will do the trick.

I found openshot and kdenlive to be the best suited for what i needed.
