nhtv
Looking for a dry read from a deep male voice. We are working on a promotion for Art/Creativity and its importance in our public high school. The style we're looking for is that of the the most recent Apple iPad apps with the pencil (for reference) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9gLqh8tmPA The copy is as follows: ""Imagination and Creativity endow us with the unique ability to captivate the eyes, minds and hearts of others. There are differences between creating a painting and designing a building, composing a symphony and writing the next great American Novel. There are differences between designing the software or the hardware and having the vision for the company that dreams to change the world. They rise from the common place of experimentation, the drive to explore, and to create. Imagination is the cornerstone of creativity and the genesis of invention. Societies rise and fall on their ability to innovate. The world is speeding up and the need for creativity is greater than ever. At North hills we recognize imagination and creativity as essential to the advancement of our future society, we embrace and support the technologies and tools that will provide our students with the best opportunities to explore, innovate and to create."" Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

nhtv
Aaaaand how much is your budget for this professional voiceover? I apologize and mean no disrespect. I posted this under the 'Free' category. I am not soliciting services of a professional VO such as in the video, but rather citing it as the pacing and rhythm we wanted. If I have posted in the wrong place, or misjudged the use of this forum, I sincerely apologize.

We are a website for radio broadcasters, we offer this service so small stations with no funding whatsoever can sound professional and have that magical touch. It also gives the voiceover artists a boost in traffic and recommendations within the small webcaster community. If your business is non-for-profit, I suggest heading to voices.com and browsing some talents and contacting one for special rates. -James Studiio - All-In-One Radio Communication Platform SMS | Phone Calls | Social Media | Content

billh
From what I can tell it's for a High School. If it is only for use in the High School I will give it a shot as well. But if and only if it's for the High School and not for commercial use at all. You will find we are willing to help if we can when it comes to students, learning, etc.. Just a bit of advice, Next time offer a donation in return for something like this (this much reading) and let everyone know what and who it's for. Stating a High School, which High School, What country, etc. all the info you can supply and can we see the finished video? We all like seeing or hearing what our voice was used for. "I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . I only do dry reads, if you want FX's you'll have to add them, I might add them. If you use my voice please link to my art site AbstractArtist.xyz, Thank you
billh
I did a real quick read and I added music in the background. If you like it and want me to read it again just let me know. I will not include the background music, I just though it sounded better that way and to give you and idea for the video. https://soundcloud.com/billhewes/north-hills-demo-sample "I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . nhtv
Alright, so I feel some explanation is necessary. I am a high school senior at North Hills Senior High School in Pittsburgh, PA. This voiceover is to be used in a not-for-profit production. The goal is as a promotion for art/creativity (our broadcast/cinema classes fall under this) to hopefully spur the district to continue funding the Art Department when we are up for curriculum consideration later this year. The video will be posted to the district's YouTube page when finished, so anyone can view it. Obviously, as a high school student, I don't have a ton of experience with this sort of thing, and didn't mean to offend. Thanks very much for your assistance. nhtv
Thanks very much for your time. I will just head somewhere else, as it's clear we should try to hire someone for the level of work we're interested in. Wouldn't feel right taking it for free... Thanks. billh
You didn't offend anyone. The problem is we have had people request free voice over and then it turned out bad you could say. The voice over wasn't used in the way it was stated. For example I have done free voice overs to help people and come to find out they were on a real radio station and it was for commercial use, so they should have paid for it. So we try to make sure it's not commercial use. For your school we or I would do it for free to help. "I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . nhtv
Hello everyone, before anyone wastes their time on trying to do another read, I wanted to let you know we found a reader to do the promo for us. Didn't want anyone else to take up their time, since we already got what we needed. I very much appreciate everyone's guidance and assistance. All the best... Brutish Sailor
You allready got a couple. Blend em. That always impresses for tech reads. Especially with mono voices and creepy simple drops. I never understood that, but it does. Glad you got what you were looking for. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
