dazle
Hi I have a remote DJ who is sending me a load of pre recorded generic vocals, so i can playlist a different set each day for a week using the same vocals but juggled around each day - it's an off peak show temporarily(1 month or so) How can i prevent ID3 tags showing up in the players when a pre recorded vocal is running(not only flash popup players but VLC, itunes etc) This is the only show I'm doing this with so don't fancy disabling tags globally as 1, i'll forget to re-enable and 2, seeing the track that's playing is popular(especially as they won't be getting announced) Thanks in advance for any suggestions d
shoutcaststreaming
How is it possible to distinguish a recorded generic vocal from a normal song of type 'S' ? Answer that and I'll post what to do. dazle
@shoutcaststreaming Change type in Sam i suspect you mean, from my googling the best i came up with was sticking them on the sound fx board for type, but i really don't want to be dragging myself out of bed 4 hours earlier than usual and then button clicking a show, given present work load
dazle
i'm intrigued now! i don't want to x type(sfx) and have them playing over tracks though
dazle
and queuing type x tracks still displays ID3 tags...

dazle
Still looking for a solution. I've tried changing the type and even tried the voice tracker which sets type as 'Interview', however that's still showing up :/ Only way I can find atm is by putting them on the sound fx rack and playing them on manual. Far from ideal solution. I've not got into Pal scripting yet. If I find a solution I'll let you know as I see many ppl have looked at this thread
webcasta_chris
You could just remove the tags completely, if the tags are empty SAM won't send anything to the server, although this does mean you'll probably have to guess what track you're using... dazle
lol, that'd get the dj's rocking and rolling. good idea though. atm, when i'm doing a show with prerecorded links i just turn the tags off in the encoder. it's a pain though, as normal shows where i don't disable tags, shows the idents and all that malarkey and as we're pushing listeners to use media players rather than flash popup they are seeing every idents
