Hard Rock Nights Is On Board

Brian Basher

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone my name is Brian Basher. I've been involved in radio on and off since 1993. I spent 16 years working communications in the Coast Guard and I've worked on air at stations, in Arkansas, Texas, but for the last 4 years I've been hosting a syndicated show called Hard Rock Nights.

I look forward to reading everyone's thoughts and comments

I'm hoping someone on the board can give me a little help. I'm trying to upload Hard Rock Nights to the show page, and even though I'm already signed in it tells me I have to sign in and every time I try log in I get an error.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Brian Basher

Welcome Aboard Brian :)

Where were you stationed at in the coast guard ? Were you a RM ?

I did 10 years in 17th District - ashore and afloat - last duty station was Lorsta Port Clarance.

Lots of great guys, good information and resources here.

I have written a sizable library of guides and published a book on Internet broadcasting.

You can download the guides for free or read them online.

Thank you Saint... By the time I went to A School RM had been rebranded as TC and then it was changed again to OS. My last 6 years were spent in Ketchikan first as ISC and then aboard the Acushnet. I was also stationed in Virginia, Baltimore, Jacksonville, and National Motor Lifeboat School

I had a friend that was stationed at Comsta Kodiak - NOJ. That was really weird when they pulled the plug on Morse.

Port Clarence was interesting - 17th Dist let the station set up a remote AFRTS FM relay that would broadcast a satellite feed. Whenever the satellite signal went down - the duty ET would load up a CD player. There was a native village about 15 miles away that would call the loran station and do requests when the ET's played music. There were some interesting phone calls that transpired.
