Wayne S.
If you could get a female with a sexy sultry voice saying something along the line of: emmmm...scenic radio, (pause) What's your pleasure today?(Pause) Lay back, relax and listen to a classic novel, (pause) close your eyes and drift back in time listening to an old time radio show, (pause) or how about a stroll through nature (optional) lay under a shade tree and observe nature or board a train for a scenic train ride through the country. emmmm, enjoy more relaxing entertainment at scenicradio.com While I was at your site I noticed Under Terms of use 6. I am also looking at OTR and possibly audio books, just haven't gotten around to building the websites yet. Are you running without a license under Public domain? If so, some of the Sherlock Holmes shows were from the UK and may still be under UK copyright. Not sure, you may want to research that. "In 1955, NBC re-ran the transcribed BBC series". I'm a little leery of any series from outside the USA. I have backed away from any series from Canada, UK, South Africa etc.

saint
WayneS There are several radio productions of Sherlock Holmes, some are British and some are American. The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes was written and produced in the United States from October 2, 1939 to July 7, 1947. The NBC Blue Network ( forerunner to the American Broadcasting Corporation ) was the media entity that created and produced The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Anthony Boucher was an American science fiction editor and author of mystery novels and short stories, who also scripted numerous radio programs. The New Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes was one of the radio programs he wrote for. Denis Green also assisted Anthony Boucher in the writing of several of the episodes of The New Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes. The British Broadcasting Corporation was not affiliated with the writing, production or distribution of the radio program The New Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes. BBC version of Sherlock Holmes. John Gielgud played Holmes for BBC radio in the 1950s, with Ralph Richardson as Watson. Carleton Hobbs portrayed Holmes in a series of BBC radio broadcasts that ran from 1952 to 1969, with Norman Shelley playing Watson. BBC Radio 4 also produced radio dramatisations of the complete Sherlock Holmes stories, featuring Clive Merrison as Holmes and Michael Williams as Watson. This version ran from 1989 and 1998.
