Has anyone seen? Any thoughts, reviews? Looks great. I thought we'd never see it, but they did say it would be here within June, and sure enough. They've delivered.

The look is fantastic, and I love a good HTML5 player, however AAC doesn't work at the moment. Hopefully they do get that back up and running as we lost about 60 listeners on our AAC channel :/

Formerly, that info was also visible at SC but "not" with my stream ...

It was a stream of "somebody" who used my name with their own music and daily GK was relayed to their stream for several hours

(strange but true !)

 

So I hope it gonna stay that way !

What is the ".xspf" extension ?

At SC both Winamp, m3u and "xspf" can be downloaded as playlist file

This could mean Radionomy is on the right track. Wonder if their Radio Manager will change to have Shoutcast in it and too will it offer a more user friendly AutoDJ system? I know Shoutcast was supposed to be a major integration so does this mean that the colors will match as well as we can expect an improved experience for the broadcaster over there? We can only hope.

if you mean AAC streams don't play in the site player then that's nothing new and the old site player (now deprecated as it as a p.o.s.) only supported MP3 streams and you just have to open the playlist link instead to access AAC streams. it is possible down the road for AAC streams to play natively but it's going to require software updates on the broadcasters side to accomplish it.

that's a systemic issue when using a v1.x DNAS where it's not possible to guarantee how and what is shown for a listing - which is the reason why the v2.x DNAS + authhash system was developed to ensure that your listing is yours (and also it makes the listing process and updating of the listing a lot more reliable than what the v1.x setup is like).

it's just another playlist format which has been growing in popularity and as i'd added support for it prior to the sale, it just made sense to expose it along with exposing the M3U support which is needed for Windows Media Player for example since they refused many years ago to support PLS files (which is what is provided with the Winamp option).
