snow
Hello My first post in here. I am here from UK listen to this radio station called Oli 98.6FM from Singapore on my Vantage OXX free standing WiFi radio. I believe this WiFi radio uses Frontier Silicon WiFi-Radio portal. The station I am referring to stopped streaming on my Wifi Radio since 15th July 2014. I contacted vTuner & Frontier Silicon WiFi-Radio Portals with no avail. The link on vTuner only works in Apple devices. http://vtuner.com/setupapp/guide/asp/func/dynampls.asp?link=1&id=2277 Radio Station is owned by : http://entertainment.xin.msn.com/en/radio/oli968/default.aspx in Singapore This will play on Window based computer http://liveradio.meradio.sg/meradio/public/v2/player/?station=968fm However If I try to add the above on to my added stations on the Frontier Radio Portal it does not stream in my WiFi Radio:sad: I tried to put in this URL :103.21.81.3:8968 in my added station but did not play on my Desk top until I put the URL as 103.21.81.3:8968 followed by /; . After this the station streams in my desk top window computer media player but not on my WiFi Free standing Radio. Can any one help me to get a functioning stream-able link that I could put in my added station in my Radio Portal that will be recognised by my WiFi OXX Radio. regards Thanking you
GKIye
Hi Snow, I made a search to Your type of WIFI radio and it looks that its familiar to Reciva The listen file of the station gives Me an other IP than Yours = http://mediacorp.rastream.com/968fm Did You added that line already into Your radio player ? That stream URL gives at a low bitrate an awesome quality for sure ... even I don't understand a word If Your type of WIFI radio is indeed from Reciva You can add / connect the station at Your Reciva account How ? - Make a station search - If You have no results - see ""Click here to add it" - enter stationname and stream URL - click "next" etc etc If You would have any problems to find all this ... please check my project at Reciva at this link : https://radios.reciva.com/station/41553 If You don't have an own Reciva account, make an account and I suppose it gonna have to work out for You Good luck ! Hello May I first thank you for your time & I really appreciate it. My Free Standing WiFi Radio is called VANTAGE OXX. This internet radio connects to home network and uses portal called FrontierSilicon WiFi-Radio portal. (www.wifiRadio-frontier.com). A year or 18 months ago production of OXX radio went into liquidation, I suspect. The Frontier Silicon WiFi radio portal now part of vTuner. I on my desktop could access Frontier where choose to "My added Station" to put in the URL but streaming on my radio does not work. I two days ago given the correct URL to this Singapore station(Oli 98.6 FM) to reciva and they have include it on their site like wise vTuner I did the same. The link from vTuner works if I open it on my Apple Mack Book Air (Maverick OS)-streams the station effortlessly but not on a windows based computer!! On Mac Book Air when I get the stream the iTune reveal the URL as:103.21.81.3:8968 for this station. I tried to stream the station on my DeskTop computer (Windows 7 x64) by going through "tunein" where non stream except on my Apple Mac Book Air by choosing 48kb AAC (there are links for 22kb windows, 32kb AAC andnone of them stream) Only other link from online works on my Desktop windows based computer is : http://www.surfmusic.de/country/singapore.html In here if I choose the "station OLi" I get a stream on my computer. I copied this URL and tried in my Frontier Silicon WiFi Radio portal@ my added station (manually adding the station I wish to add) but does not get a working stream on my radio!! Can you think of any measures that I could try to get this going? Regards
GKIye
I visited the surfmusic page and it looks that the "listen" link doesn't work The file http://www.surfmusic.de/m3u/oli-96-8-fm,5261.m3u contains the IP http://103.21.81.3:8968 ... but it does not connects to the stream The stream IP that I gave You http://mediacorp.rastream.com/968fm works perfect into all my media players and it plays OLI968 perfect So ... it looks to Me that http://mediacorp.rastream.com/968fm is the only IP that You need to connect with your favorite station I have added the URL IP of mediacorp to Reciva by using my account Please see the screenshots : - The first screenshot shows that the URL IP http://mediacorp.rastream.com/968fm gives the result "PASS" ... what means that the URL passed the test - The second screenshot shows the confirmation It can take upto 24 hours untill the name appears at Reciva The name that I gave to the station is "OLI 968 FM" I hope this can solve the issue Visit and listen @ BW ! snow
Hi GKIye, I am not som how getting this right. Your link when I tried works flawless on my Mac Book Air. However when I do the same from my desktop window 7 x64 IE 11 computer I do not get stream working!! Have you tried on a Apple computer or Windows computer I wonder? I have tried to include a working URL in "My Added Station" in Frontier Silicon WiFi-RadioPortal. After which if I try it on my computer as well as on my Mac Book Air to test the stream it works but only WiFi Radio I get Format error? Another interesting observation is if you go to :tune in" site the same station is represented with 4 x streams-one 22b WMA, 2x 32kb AAC & 1x 48kb AAC. Here again only one of the 32kb AAC works on window based computer other three are not working. http://tunein.com/radio/Oli-FM-968-s17453/ I may be wrong but suspect their is some format error prevents it's stream in a WiFi Radio since this new company called "MeRadio" got involved in Singapore. I do salute to you to thank for your effort and suggestions. Regards
snow
I find from trying links on site called tunein The 32kb AAC works on windows based computer-WMP The 48kb AAC works on Apple Computer OS. All the links I have been trying to add on into "My added Station" in WiFi portal are working on an Apple based computers. So my prime suspicion is that with AAC with high KB. Do you know of any technique to identify the URL link for this 32kb AAC represented on tunein site [http://tunein.com/radio/Oli-FM-968-s17453/?streamid=4441924] that I could try in my WiFi Portal. This may do the trick? What do you feel? Regards
GKIye
I have also a Win7 (Windows) at my place and it all works perfect The stream who has been added at https://radios.reciva.com/station/4454 is the 48 AAC It looks to Me that it can be a good idea to contact their compagny at their website : http://www.frontier-silicon.com/ I suppose they can fix Your problem Visit and listen @ BW ! However this station Oli from Singapore has eluded me!!
