1073WKCR
Good Morning to all... I have been trying to get my station listed on Windows Media Radio for a while now but im doing something wrong. Below is what i they sent me. We need a direct streaming link in order to submit your station for inclusion. A direct stream is an audio or video stream that plays directly in Windows Media Player without displaying or launching associated web pages. When a user clicks on it, it should directly open a Windows Media Player. Here are some correct samples FYI .http://beatlesarama.com/listen/directory.asx http://www.solopianoradio.com/free/pianosolo64wma.asx Please note that we do not accept .pls files natively.Thank you,WindowsMedia.com Radio Guide CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME MAKE A .ASX DIRECT STREAMING LINK. IM REALLY LOST HERE. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND CONCERN.

DrO
have to assume it's not known that with the current v2.x DNAS releases you can just pull an ASX playlist directly from it via the /listen.asx?sid=# option than trying to mess around with external files (which works well when you've got the DNAS setup to use a DNS value via the 'destip' configuration option). much simpler than using external tools and so on imho. 1073WKCR
im so lost right now... i thought i was suppose to upload it to my server. im new to this so any help s good.
DrO
it really depends on what option you go with as per your setup. as you can either upload asx files (with the address of the server included in them as per the initial information) or if the server supports it (as it's not clear what you're using to broadcast with) then you just provide the link from the server itself (without having to mess around with uploading files and ensuring the links put into them are correct, etc). Hopefully i explained what im trying to do better.
