WebRTC is a Java / HTML 5 code intergration that allows for the distribution of video and audio content without the need for additional plugins or additional software installation. There are several companies that have adapted this technology for unlimited video streaming. This video streaming implementation uses a hybrid CDN / P2P distribution system for content distribution and does not require the end user to install any additional software. Streaming data security and integrity is guaranteed through content encryption.

 

WebRTC operates by design within the confines of the browser itself and is sanboxed to prevent malicious code from interacting on a system wide basis.

 

I am in contact with a coder that is developing an open source video streaming project based on WebRTC. The projects aim is to provide unlimited universal video streaming without requiring massive bandwidth.
