RadioBOSS 5.2.2 released! This update fixed lots of minor issues and also contains optimizations to lower CPU usage.

 

Changes:

• VU meter and spectrum display microphone level with the "Output to encoders only" option enabled
  
• Switching the "Output to encoders only" option for the microphone does not require restarting
  
• Bugs fixed in the Track List feature
  
• Improved Start Time calculation (made more accurate)
  
• "scheduler on" command now also turns off "Manual" scheduler mode
  
• Added ability to select multiple folders in the Music Library when importing tracks
  
• Fixed tag reading error for some files
  
• Fixed fade on stop bug (under certain circumstances the track stopped abruptly)

Couple of beta version updates were released since the beta version was published. Lots of bugs were fixed, and minor features introduced:

• A setting added to change how currently playing track is marked
  
• Statistics retrieving from the latest SHOUTcast (v2.4.7+)
  
• Right-click option for microphone to turn on/off sidechain compression
  
• "Disable monitor sound card when the mic is on" option added
  

The beta tester keys will be given out for several more days, so hurry if you want to get one!

At one of the screenshots I see that RadioBOSS is able to play DSP to increase / adjust the sound quality

 

Also interesting are the virtual sound cards ...

Are the virtual sound cards similar to what is known into SAM as "pipeline" ?

aka : the software audio output does not depend on the main soundcard of the pc

 

Question :

I learn that "If a file doesn't have cover art, an attempt is made to load it from a folder where the track is located"

Is it possible to load a custom cover art ? e.g. Station logo

RadioBOSS can utilize its own integrated DSPs (currently this includes Compressor, Limiter, Equalizer and AutoAmp), and it also can use almost any VST and Winamp DSP plugins.

Virtual sound cards is a different thing, here's a short explanation about them: http://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/virtual_sound_cards.htm

 

The feature you asking about also presents in RadioBOSS: when you select "No device" as the main sound card (in Settings->Playback), it will "play" tracks but without real audio output, you can set up encoders and broadcast the stream to Internet.

Yes, click Settings->Open Settings folder, and place the "nocover.png" file in that folder (the image is recommended to have a square shape, e.g. 200x200). This file will be used for tracks with no cover.

Hi,

 

I use the autodj of Radioboss.

 

Everything is ok, but only i have a little problem with the cover pictures of my tracks.

 

I work for the mp3tag to put an picture of mp3, when the broadcast is online on my webradio, the picture is differont in the player of radioboss

 

Why ?

 

How made that the picture will be correct with my track ?

 

I have a little impression, that the radioboss server (autodj automation) change automaticly the picture in his way...
